I’m a complete neophyte when it comes to even the most rudimentary programming. I couldn’t tell you the difference between Java and CSS; I barely know the basics of HTML. Heck, I never had to. For several years, I simply paid for Squarespace to handle that type of thing. Since switching to Blot, I’ve been venturing into the “development” side of personal web development in an attempt to make mine an even more personable corner of the internet. I like that Blot’s templates are not hidden behind a bloated and confusing content management system. The stock html, .js, and .css files are freely available and easy to alter–at least for someone with the requisite know-how. I may not have that know-how, but with the help of a generous AI assistant, I’m no longer shackled to my stock template. Now, I’m having more fun tinkering with my site and didn’t have to minor in computer programming or watch an entire online course to figure things out.↩︎
