Ukraine Defense Contact Group (UDCG)
The Ukraine Defense Contact Group (UDCG), otherwise known as the Ramstein group, is a U.S.-led multinational coalition established in April 2022 to coordinate military aid, training, and logistical support for Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression. Comprising over 50 nations, including NATO allies and key Indo-Pacific partners, the UDCG serves as the primary forum for synchronizing arms deliveries, discussing Ukraine’s evolving battlefield needs, and enhancing interoperability between Ukrainian forces and Western-supplied weaponry. Meetings are held regularly at Ramstein Air Base, Germany and serve as a strategic platform for long-term security commitments to Ukraine.
U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin: “The nations of this Contact Group stand together to ensure that Ukraine has what it needs to defend itself today and deter future aggression tomorrow.”
