Morning at Silver Lake
On what felt like one of the first truly spring days of the year, we took both boats out to Silver Lake in Cowlitz County for some morning fishing.
It was still too cold and there wasn’t much action, but the view was nice and it felt good getting both boats back into the water. My first time back fishing in something like four or five months since I cut my hand. Looking forward to this spring when it gets a bit warmer and everything picks up.
Came back and made chicken, shrimp, and veggie paella in the backyard with my Dad, who came with us to the lake and stayed over to enjoy the sunshine. Finished out the day pruning the orchard and moving all the sticks to a massive burn pile, which evolved into the perfect roasting area for some hot dogs as the sun set.
